We live in a generation where we care more about the amount of followers we have, or likes we get on Instagram rather than our relationship with God. Back when I was in middle school I even bought an app where if I liked someone else's random photos I would get likes back, so it looked like I had 300 likes on every single one of my pictures...let me just add, middle school was not my prime time so it wasn't even possible for me to even get 50 likes.
And that's the issue right there, I cared more about what my peers thought than what Jesus thought. I let my friends define who I was when I should have let God define me, because at the end of the day that's the only thing that really matters. We idolize the "cool" things in life, or the "cool" people in our society. But Jesus is cool too!!! He's the only person in our life that is forever, and you can't find that endless love He gives anywhere else.
Read John 13:7
Jesus replied, “You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.”
Even though we might not always understand why God is doing certain things in our life, we do need to understand His will. God will never put us in situations we can't overcome. Learn to understand His Word, understand the love He has for you (which is A LOT). Get into His word, learn about the Father who loves endlessly and forgives tremendously.
