He Is Faithful

Spencer Moreau

This past December, both my wife Lindsay and I graduated with degrees from Dallas Baptist University. These last few weeks have been so surreal, realizing that I never have to step into a classroom again to take a test, write a paper, or anything else (not trying to make you jealous!). I seriously feel like 4 years ago, I was at the bottom of a huge mountain, and I finally made it to the top. The trip was rewarding, but far from easy. On June 15, 2013, I got married to the most beautiful woman in the world. A lot of people don’t like the idea of getting married while in the middle of college, but we were ready for it. Our mentality was that we could finish school apart or we could finish school together, and we both agreed that we would rather do it together. And I have to say, I am SO glad that we chose to do that. Even though it was incredibly rewarding, there were many aspects of our lives that were incredibly difficult, the most being the financial aspect.

The biggest lesson that God taught me in 2014 was that He is faithful. God is always faithful. At first this was hard to accept, because there were months that on paper, we were unable to pay our bills. But every single time, God made a way. Whether it was a random baby sitting job for a Lindsay, a small side job for me, or a card in the mail with a $100 bill from a anonymous friend, God always made a way.

READ MATTHEW 6:25-34

I don’t know what you are going through in your life right now. It might be a difficult financial situation, your parents getting a divorce, a sin you can’t break, or just a hard situation that seems impossible to conquer. I can assure you, that no matter how impossible the situation seems, God is and always will be faithful. This passage talks about how God provides for the birds of the air and the flowers of the field, so how much more will He provide for you and I? Rest assured that there is no reason to worry, because our God is so much bigger than our problems, and He is faithful to take care of us.
