Everyone at some point in their life has to stand up against something that goes against their beliefs or morals; this is especially true for most Christians as they walk the walk of faith. Dumisai once shared with me about a time where he had to stand on Christ when his “Christian” friends tried to get him to go to a party. Their excuse was that as Christians they couldn’t do anything else, so partying was the only thing they had left. This left Dumisai in a compromising situation causing him to make a decision between the world and Christ. Ultimately, Dumisai ruled on not going, because he counted the cost, and found that Christ is always worth it. At this time Dumisai had just become a faithful believer, so this was not a walk on the beach for him to overcome. At the time he couldn’t see it, but Christ was there even when his friends seemed right. Christ was even working on the renewal of Dumisai’s mind when it came to not going to parties.

Jesus Christ states that he is the WAY, TRUTH, and the LIFE. Ask yourself, what does that mean to you on a personal level? Are you depending on Christ to be your way of living? Your truth in the darkness? Your life? Stand on Christ with whatever you may pursue in life, because I guarantee you he’ll stand by you when it comes time to stand before the Father.
