LIKE TOTALLY BFF’S!

Lindsay Moreau

How many of you have a best friend that you spend all your time with, tell everything to, and are pretty much joined at the hip with? I think most of us, at one point or another, have experienced this kind of friendship. They are the first you call when you and your parents argue, they are the person you walk down the halls of school with, you might laugh until you cry on a daily basis with them, they know you better than you know yourself... Sound familiar? I, too, have had multiple friendships like this. I have been very blessed by incredible women that have come in and out of my life to be a support, crying shoulder, or comedic relief when the time is right.
But, there is something you must know. Friendships will always change. At some point or another, one of you may move away, one of you may get a boyfriend or girlfriend. Eventually you will get married, have children, travel the world, or become a workaholic. My point is that although you can have long lasting relationships, it will NEVER stay the same. I am not saying this to hurt or upset you, but rather to assure of Someone that is constant, never-changing, always faithful, and a way better friend than you could imagine. That Someone is the Holy Spirit. As we dive into worshipping wholeheartedly, I challenge you to let the Holy Spirit in. He is good, He is faithful, He is caring, and He has your life and future securely and tenderly in His hands. Is He not worthy of passionate worship? Is He not worthy of our secrets, our struggles, and our pain? Let Him in. Let Him take it from you. He is the best friend that will never leave, will never forsake, and He will grow closer to you as you draw nearer to Him.

READ ISAIAH 43:2-4

“Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you. I’ve called your name. You’re mine. When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you. When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down. When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end—Because I am God, your personal God, The Holy of Israel, your Savior.I paid a huge price for you. That’s how much you mean to me! That’s how much I love you!I’d sell off the whole world to get you back, trade the creation just for you.” Allow Him in. Allow Him to work in and through you. The comfort and peace of the Holy Spirit is better than any kind of friendship or relationship you may have. OH, and I love you.
