As Christians, we have a calling to share our faith with the world. Before Christ ascended into heaven after His death and resurrection, He gave His disciples what we call “The Great Commission” (you can read it in Matthew 28:16-20). Christ commissioned them to “Go and make disciples”, and He has given us the same commission.
If Christ Himself gave us that command, why do you think most Christians fail to follow it? As we’ve talked about many times at VERVE, following Christ a lot of times means doing something crazy, something out of our comfort zone. How many times, just like Moses, that you’ve thought you can’t speak well enough or don’t know enough to do what God has called you to do?

This passage is the answer to our inabilities. God has given us the Holy Spirit, and by that power we are able to do what God has called us to. We are His witnesses to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Or, our equivalent—we are His witnesses in Garland, Rowlett, or Sachse, then to Dallas, to Texas, to The United States, and to the ends of the earth. The good news of Christ will only go forth if we, by the power of the Holy Spirit, will deliver it. Here is another passage I want you to read:

Because we have Christ, there is no reason to be ashamed of the hope we have! God has a huge calling on your life. He wants to do big things through YOU, only if you will accept His calling. When we have God on our side, our inabilities are removed and His power is magnified.
