Webster’s
definition of ignorance is- a lack of knowledge, understanding, or
education. I think, as believers,
there are some things we are just plain ignorant about. It’s not necessarily anybody’s “fault” either,
there are just some things we don’t know about this Christian life. For
example- we don’t know that, as our key verse says—as believers and followers
of Jesus Christ, we have everything we need to live a Godly life in Him. We are ignorant about the fact that God has ALREADY
equipped us with all that we need in order to live a holy life and please Him;
we don’t realize what all we have access to as a Christian.
One thing I
think we are the most ignorant about is the fact that we, as believers, are a
product of grace and mercy. From the
very second that we invite Jesus to be our Savior AND Lord, God’s love for us
never changes and He is constantly for us.
When we find that Grace and understand and grasp His love, we will want
to go to a deeper level of intimacy with Him.
No matter what emotions we feel, no matter what life throws at us, or
what we have done, God still says “You’re worth it.” In faith we believe that the cross was enough
and we dive in all the more deep into that Truth. From day one it is never
about being a “perfect Christian” but allowing Jesus’ perfection to overshadow
our imperfection.
Choose today to
believe, NO MATTER WHAT, that Jesus loves you and is FOR YOU!!! NO MATTER
WHAT!!
